Following the same thread as many popular shows like The X-Files, Altered States, and The Twilight Zone, Fox has produced a new show titled Fringe. Fringe is a science fiction show co-created by J.J. Abrams, Alex Kurtzman, and Robert Orci. It follows a particular FBi agent in Boston Massachusetts that are using unorthodox “fringe” science to investigate unusual and mysterious cases. Currently, the team is following “The Pattern” which is a collection and series of unexplained and ghastly situations occuring around the world.

Fringe premiered on September 9, 2008 on Fox, and is considered to be a “Remote-Free TV” show that is six minutes longer than traditional shows and has only half the commercials. Season one had its finale on May 12, 2009, and Season 2 is scheduled to start September 17, 2009.

Fringe has an interesting cast. Anna Torv plays Olivia Dunham, Joshua Jackson plays Peter Bishop, John Noble plays Dr. Walter Bishop, Lance Reddick plays Phillip Broyles, Jasika Nicole plays Astrid Farnsworth, Kirk Acevedo plays Charlie Francis, Blair Brown plays Nina Sharp, Mark Valley plays John Scott, and Leonard Nimoy plays William Bell.
